DMK Relic pays homage to the vintage Cherry MX ABS keycap sets in a transition from past to present. These vintage colourways were ubiquitous in any computer user’s home or commercial office in the 80s and 90s, and can still be spotted regularly in many stores and homes worldwide. Colours were faithfully matched to the colour codes used by the Cherry MX team for their OG doubleshots.

DMK Relic has a well-equipped but smaller base kit that supports a number of MKB layouts: 60% (Tsangan, HHKB, WKL), 65%, 75%, TKL, Alice, split spacebar, etc.; in Icon modifiers; and includes a total of eight relegendable keys (in two different colors) which you can substitute with your F-row/R1 keys, or use as macro keys – these relegendable keycaps can be opened up (the cap is detachable) and you can insert any printed paper/sticker as a cool way to design a single keycap legend. There are also numpad kits to help complete the full-sized and 1800 layouts (or separate numpads), an alternate kit that includes LED shine-through keycaps, icon/text modifiers, and officially approved Cherry MX logo novelties to achieve an authentic vintage aesthetic.

Some other standouts are the icons kit, which includes newly-tested icon legend alternative keys for a number of layouts’ bottom rows, including basic Mac support (with special R4 1.5u blank “Cmd” keycaps for a Tsangan layout), and the relegendables and stickers pack! This kit includes two types of relegendable keys:

• Type 1 – R1 profile base keycap, with the regular transparent top cap
• Type 2 – R1 profile transparent shell to cover the base keycap

This kit comes with a total of four icon sticker packs (SET A to SET D) with icons you can pinch away using your tweezers, and use as inserts for the relegendable keys. It also comes with four different large circular stickers per set that represent the gradient of Relic.
