Stabiliser rattle, solved at the source. ConSi Studio's V3 replaces the sloppy wire-in-hole design every other stabiliser still uses with a patented slider-crank mechanism: the wire never slams into plastic, so there's nothing left to rattle. Factory pre-lubed, top-entry screw fixing, non-magnetic wires. Fit them and forget them.

Please note - in their standard box these cannot be shipped by Royal Mail as the size exceeds a Large Letter.

Most stabiliser mods treat the symptoms. These aim to fix the issues...

You know the routine. New board, new stabs, and before a single key is soldered you're sat there with dielectric grease, a cocktail stick and a pair of tweezers, band-aid modding, holee modding, clipping, and generally performing minor surgery on six bits of plastic... all to stop that one metallic tick on the spacebar.

Here's the thing: that noise isn't your lubing technique. It's geometry. In a conventional stabiliser the wire travels vertically through a hole in the stem, and because the wire's angle and clearance change constantly through the keystroke, that hole can never be sized to the wire. There is always slop. There is always a rattle waiting to happen. Every mod you've ever done is just packing material into a gap that shouldn't exist.

ConSi Studio spent three years and several generations of prototypes on a different answer.

Slider Crank Mechanism

V3 is built around a central pivoting slider. Instead of the wire crashing about inside the stem, the wire slides against the slider while the slider rotates on a fixed pivot: a variation on the classic slider-crank linkage you'll find in every piston engine ever built. The plastic and the wire never impact each other. Remove the impact and you remove the free play, and with it the source of the noise.

And because every component in the mechanism is rigid (no rubber pads, no elastic bases, no squishy compromise hidden in the housing) you don't pay for the silence with a mushy bottom-out. It's a clean, smooth, consistent keystroke. Long keys that feel like the 1u next to them.

The ease of clip-ins, with the security of a screw-in

PCB-mount stabs have always made you choose. Cherry-style clip-ins are easy but pop out of the board when you pull a keycap, and never feel properly seated. Screw-ins are solid but mean flipping the PCB back and forth, and a heavy hand risks damaging traces, or fouling the gasket on an O-ring mount case.

Consi V3 uses a clip-in base with a top-access expansion screw. Clip it in from above, nip the screw up from above, and the retention clip expands to lock the housing hard into the PCB.

No wobble, no flipping the board, and no metal hardware touching your PCB at all.

Pre-Lubed and Tuned

This design wants lubricant in specific places in specific amounts, so ConSi have done it for you. Every set is tuned and lubed before it's boxed. Open the bag, fit them, type. No tweezers, no dielectric, no evening lost.

Compatibility

Any board with standard PCB-mount stabiliser cutouts, 1.2mm or 1.6mm thickness. The 6.25U and 7U options between them cover the vast majority of TKL, 75%, 65%, 1800 and full-size layouts. Non-magnetic wires mean they're happy on Hall-effect and magnetic switch PCBs too, where a steel wire has no business being.

Running switches with under 3.6mm of travel? Use the included stem spacers.

Prototypist is ConSi Studio's official UK stockist, so these ship from our UK warehouse.

Amazing bit of kit, ready out of the box. No rattle whatsoever, extremely pleased with these. Plus the box is super nice too.
