Since that innovation is still a little ways off, we’ve settled on the next best thing: a friendly little DCX Keycap Set. It’s DCX Bim: built around the concept of an imaginary robot assistant called “Bim,” envisioned by community designer Balance. Reclaiming some of the color featured in old-school retro-futurist tech, this Bim model is highlighted with vivid legends and accent keys against darker-blue alpha and modifier base colors. Boot yours up in stunning resolution, courtesy of doubleshot legends injected within exacting tolerances of nearly 0.05 millimeters. We took over 2 years to meticulously create the gently cylindrical DCX experience, crafting a subtly sculpted top that’s both familiar and undeniably unique. The profile itself is on the shorter side, but the caps are among the heaviest at their size, delivering a sturdy feel with excellent durability. Diving Into DCX
Exceptional attention to detail: it’s what defines DCX. Drop took over 2 years to refine the design, strengthen manufacturing processes, and gather input from the community, they created a shorter, subtly sculpted keycap profile worthy of any endgame keyboard. The embodiment of their newest, most exacting build processes, DCX keycaps are made from ultra-substantial, proprietary ABS material that’s neither shiny nor hollow-sounding. For a truly blemish-free look that lasts, each keycap’s sprue mark is located on its interior (rather than on a finished side, like many caps). Plus, all DCX sets sport carefully considered design principles, including symmetrical vertical margins, consistent left-side legend alignment for all rows, and extensive Base Kit compatibility. It’s excellence, at every level. It’s DCX, previously exclusive to Drop, and now with Prototypist and other Worldwide vendors.
