The QK65v2 has received much appreciation due to its unique design style. However, we understand that this design may not appeal to everyone, especially minimalists. At Qwertykeys, we respect and value our community's feedback, which is why we decided to introduce a classic version of the QK65v2 for those who prefer simplicity. By omitting the mini screen and the LED strip, the QK65v2 Classic aligns more closely with the original QK65's design language. We hope this variant can meet the taste of those who prefer a cleaner look in their peripherals.

Front Design

Unlike the QK65v2, the classic version aligns more closely with the design language of the original QK65. Without the LED strip and mini screen, the QK65v2 Classic embodies a more minimalistic design, making it easier to integrate into your desk setup.

Inside the case, we added a brushed stainless steel internal weight to slightly enhance the industrial design, without compromising its sleek and clean appearance.

Back Design

The classic version shares the same design as the QK65v2. The back case, external weight, and themed badge are all customizable, allowing users to create a unique keyboard. Besides the six themed badge set, we've also added a plain mirror badge for customers who prefer a simpler design.

The USB dongle can be stored under the badge, allowing you to enjoy a wireless typing experience anywhere without worrying about losing it.

Structure

The use of magnetic connectors on our previous products has received very positive market feedback. On top of that, we incorporated a clip-in mechanism into the QK65v2 Classic to further simplify the assembly process. The case can be disassembled in less than 10 seconds by simply removing the rubber feet and releasing the clips.

The QK65v2 Classic is compatible with both PCB gasket mount and top mount. We have added plate cushions around the screw holes to eliminate any potential case ping when using the top mount. Additionally, the PCB daughterboard now has its own gasket to ensure mobility with the magnetic connectors.

Plate

Tri-mode PCBs are compatible with plates in five materials: FR4, Carbon Fibre, Aluminium, POM, and PC.  The HE PCB only supports the aluminium plate to guarantee precise actuation.

Neo Lavender Magnetic Switch + HE PCB Kit

The QK HE PCB is paired with the latest magnetic switch from Neo Studio, the Neo Lavender Magnetic switch. Unlike regular magnetic switches, the Lavender Magnetic Switch has a specially designed bottom to enhance the typing sound. This makes it a great blend of performance, typing feedback, and sound profile. Paired with the QK HE PCB, it delivers a superb experience for both gaming and daily use.

The dedicated configurator for the Lavender Magnetic Switch, QK HE Config, will be released at the same time as the QK65v2 Classic orders are fulfilled. The QK HE Config supports numerous functions, including customizable key value, adjustable actuation point, all-key rapid triggering (RT), dynamic keystroke (DKS), Mod-Tap (MT), Toggle Key (TGL), and Macros.

The sensitivity of the Levander Magnetic Switch sensor is 0.1 mm, allowing you to set the actuation point anywhere between 0.1mm and 3.8mm for ultra-precise gaming feedback.
