Stratum-80 is Artifact Industries' next-generation TKL (80%) keyboard built around a "Stratum" & archeological design language: stacked, rugged layers with clean geometry—designed to feel like a collectible "artifact from the future."

What makes it different:

  • Flex Brick Isolation System (tool-less / mod-first)
Flex Bricks acoustically decouple the board from the case so users can tune sound and feel. 3 sets of Flex Bricks (Soft-Medium-Hard) are included in the base package.
  • Indirect full RGB accent (25 LEDs)
A smooth light strip at the back of the top cover that also highlights the milled bottom texture. Fully customizable RGB via 25 LEDs.
  • Modular, magnetically coupled architecture
"Sandwich mount" build with magnetic coupling; PCB/daughterboard connect via magnetically coupled pogo-pin connection (hotswap M/B + custom D/B).

Every keyboard ships in a custom Artifact travel case designed to be reusable for meetups and transport. An optional add-on wristrest is also available, featuring a layered design with an aluminum base (Charcoal Black) and frosted PMMA top, weighing 800 g. The wristrest is not included in the keyboard kit and can be added separately.

More Information:

Stratum-80 is defined by an extremely restrained geometric language.

Layer upon layer, the form is carefully composed to convey stability, weight, and clarity.

Each tier contributes to a monolithic presence: balanced yet assertive, refined yet undeniably solid. The result is a design that communicates confidence through purity, allowing material, proportion, and shadow to speak.

25 hidden full-color LEDs are seamlessly integrated into the structure, moving away from visual excess toward atmospheric sophistication.

Soft indirect light gently traces the layered top profile, enhancing depth and architectural expression without overpowering the form. The lighting becomes an emotional accent — a quiet presence that elevates the entire typing environment.

At the structural core of Stratum-80 lies a tool-free interchangeable flex-brick mounting system, supplied with three hardness modules as standard.

By engineering typing dynamics directly into the internal architecture, Stratum-80 returns complete tuning freedom to the user. Each build can be precisely calibrated — from firm and controlled to soft and expressive — allowing acoustic character and tactile response to become deeply personal.

Customization is no longer surface-level; it is embedded within the very bones of the keyboard.

About Artifact:

It started with a conversation when the world was quiet.

Artifact Industries was born from a connection between two studios, continents apart but united by a shared conviction: the objects we bring into our lives should mean something. During the isolation of the pandemic, Taiwan's Hurbon International Ltd. and Germany's Noto Design GmbH crossed paths. As product enthusiasts, we realized we were two halves of the same whole.

But our partnership is only the beginning; the true foundation of Artifact Industries is the people we build for. Every product begins with empathy for the user. We design around how an object feels in your hands, how it performs under pressure, and how it elevates your daily rituals. This deep care for the user experience drives every decision we make.

Noto speaks the language of form and emotion, shaping intuitive designs that feel like a natural extension of yourself. Hurbon answers with engineering precision, mastering the materials and manufacturing processes needed to turn those designs into resilient physical realities.

By combining German design sensibility with Taiwanese engineering experience, Artifact Industries crafts modern artifacts that resonate with your personal taste and stand the test of time. We simply build thoughtful, uncompromising tools for people who care about the details as much as we do.

A fully magnetic structural design, combined with cable-free pogo-pin contact connections, enables seamless assembly and disassembly.

Every adjustment feels fluid, clean, and intentional — transforming customization from a technical process into a tactile ritual. The experience reflects the philosophy behind Stratum-80 itself: precision without friction, complexity without complication.

Stratum-80 is not merely a mechanical keyboard.

It is a convergence of design philosophy, structural innovation, and personal expression.

An instrument built for daily use.

An object destined to be kept.
