GORP is a keycap set inspired by the Gorpcore fashion movement

Gorp, also known as 'Good Ol Raisins and Peanuts' a term affectionately used for trail mix, has transcended its outdoor origins to make a significant mark on the fashion world. Over the past decade, this influence has formed a distinct style known as 'Gorpcore'. This fashion movement embraces functional outdoor gear, seamlessly integrating practicality with contemporary style.

The Gorpcore trend began gaining traction in 2011 when the Japanese clothing brand Beams teamed up with the renowned Canadian outdoor brand Arc’teryx. This collaboration, initially exclusive to Japan from 2011 to 2021, introduced a range of high-performance outerwear that captured the attention of fashion insiders.

The turning point came when images of celebrities wearing these distinctive jackets began surfacing on fashion forums and social media. This exposure shot the Beams x Arc’teryx collections into the spotlight, marking 2017 as a pivotal year for both brands. Among the standout releases of this period, the Beta SL Patchwork Beams x Arc’teryx jacket stands out as a personal favorite. This keycap set is a nod to this jacket while staying true to muted & understated beige keycaps.
