Excellent tactile switch. I completely forgot what an Orange Alps switch feel after so many years since I have my Apple Keyboard, so I can not testify the accuracy of some claims. But it is in the range of some alps-like tactility, far away from two other MX tactile trends: the MC Clear stem trait of initial mid or strong resistance and then drop into bottoming out, like a flip switch, or the Holy Panda trait of mid or strong rounded tactility, also pleasant and usable. these Alps-like tactiles are something else, they feel sometimes like what MX Browns want to be when they grow up, like an unfulfilling promise finally realised. Or like a very expensive and sophisticated device under your finger that feels like it has inside some not so simple mechanisms working when you press the switch. I really hope these switches and its family stay for long time as a new standard for MX tactiles. And other brands join the trend as well. They are not an experiment, mind you, or a silly dream or a hack. They are expensive (they feel expensive) and current on stock Alps-like switches. A reason to celebrate. They seem to be very sensible to mounting plate and keycaps thickness and material; not because they would sound worse but because tactility is there but can be reduced if not taking proper care. You can almost reduce them to a "posh/expensive MX brown" from the wonderful and somewhat subtle Alps tactile feeling. Maybe start with stiff plates and plate mounting system plus thin abs keycaps and go from there.
