Here we go. Seal 80, the sequel to 100% is coming. Thanks to your affirmation previously, and all your thoughts and feedback too, they’ve all been heard, loud and clear. After several rounds of sampling, this current version has been shown and shared during meetups in Shanghai and Tokyo. With these little improvements, its domestic GB was done and now it’s time for its global tour.
Versatility
We always recall the joy this hobby brought to us since the beginning. From Cherry MX, Alps,Micro Switch,Beamspring,Fujitsu leaf spring to EC Topre and so forth, those little surprises has delighted us for years.
The pity is we don’t have plenty options of Alps supporting keeb.That's why we previously employed a relatively common PCB design on Seal100 that is compatible with both MX and Alps SKCM/SKCL switches.But this is far from sufficient, especially for those who favour vintage keyboards.
Therefore, when Seal comes to the Gud&Old 80%, it’s determined to adopt the A87 standard, which is compatible for MX, Alps, SMK, Omron B3G, EC and even Hi-Tek (AKA Space Invaders, respect to 4ppleT who made it open source for us). This might be the PCBs with the most cheese holes you've ever seen lmaooo.
